Some things just need to be said...


I am writing this blog... because sometimes things just need to be said.  I had to fire and ban Jiggy, our chief admin, the other day... not because I wanted to, but because I had to.  Jiggy brought an underage member to our site... and when said member was discovered by our moderators to be underage, he instructed her to change her profile, her age and her country of origin.  I have absolute proof this is true. 


This goes against our terms of service, our chat rules and regulations, the moral and ethical boundaries that Nef and I have worked hard to put in place... not to mention the fact that my trust in him is completely broken, and, simply put, it is just plain wrong. There is more I could tell you which is true, but since I don't believe in gossip and rumor mongering, I will leave it at that.  You may wonder why I am even writing this.  The answer is simple...I believe our members deserve an honest, simple and straightforward answer from the owners of this site as to why one of our Admins has left the site... and so there you have it.


With that said... please be aware that we will pursue and be diligent in searching through our members to make sure you really are of age to be on our site.  We are not here to harass or bother you... but the bottom line is we have to be sure our members abide by our terms of service.  You don't have to show us all of your info but we may ask to see an ID that shows your picture and your birth date... because if we didn't do that, then we are just like those other sites out there that just don't give a crap and, obviously, we do. If any member ever feels as though there is something amiss... anything amiss… just email our staff and Nef or I will investigate your complaint to the best of our ability.


A couple more things before I go...  Nef and I are honestly doing our best to run a site like no other.  We care about you, our members, and we care about your privacy and the integrity of the playhouse.  Whether that means something to you or not, we will fight to protect that as long as our names are on this site, and that is something you can count on no matter what. Let me make it perfectly clear, our resolve is strong.  Nef and I and our staff stand together as a team because this is our site… and together we are sarahsplayhouse.com.

Some of you may know that I have been working on a writing career for...]]>
Some of you may know that I have been working on a writing career for the past few years. I have only thus far published one chldren's book and it did not go so well. I have been writing since I was a preteen. Won some awards and what not when I was in school and had many teachers tell me I would be a great writer. None the less I waited until my mid 30's to even begin to try and write.

I have been working on novel for quite some time now but had gotten into quite a rut. I found myself staing at the place i had left off day after day and no words would come...it was driving me nuts and really disappointing me. I thought I had lost whatever it was that had gotten me started in the first place.

Then I was invited to join sarah's and I began blogging. I had never blogged anywhere else in my life and found it quite appealing to just type whatever came to mind without must forethought or any scrutinizing over detail, grammer, or sentence structure. Well, I kind o knew that some of my subject matter would recieve comments and i was prepared to hear those. What I was not prepared to hear were the comments i recieved on my writing style and how well written my blogs were.

I thought "wow, completely effortless writing and people are saying I wrote well". It made me realize what had been blocking me regarding my novel. Yep... it was me getting in my own way. I had stopped writing from my heart and soul. I had made the novel too important. So important it needed to be perfect. And with constantly trying to write it "perfect" i had put so much pressure on myself i couldnt write a word.

Well... I had to thank you all because as of yesterday I have begun writing again and I couldn't be more thrilled. I know the words will keep flowing now and I will finally finish it and start attempting the publishing process.
