there are several types of peace if you think about it; peace on earth, peace of mind, piece of ass (oops i ll save that one for another blog). i ll start with peace on earth. this is something humanity has struggled with for 1000's of years, but i would like to pose a "what if" story to you.

Peace on Earth

in the heat of world war 1 in 1914, in the weeks leading upto christmas small bands of britsh and german soilders declared truces and shared meals and souviners. but most remarkable was this account. in "no mans land" soliders in no mans land ventures out on Christmas Eve and Christmas to share meals, souveiners, assist each other in ceremonies for the dead, some lead to singing carols.....what would of the out come have been had they continued the next day then another. how many countless lifes would of been save ...just through love of your fellow man.

we today live in a very diverse world (here at sarahs as well) with a melting of ages, culture, backgorund, ethnic and religous views. all things said it is this; peace begins with us and ends with you.....note to self ..be kinder, more understanding, and tolerant of others (my short comings may drive them crazy too)

Peace of mind

though it is said to be a great time of year, many of us find it much differently at times....the ...they said what, ...are they even coming...not sure we can afford to do that...and here i sit...

just something to recall...not just this time of year but every day.....if you look back on your years (short or long)...there was that one comment that inspired you...the person who said it may have not grasped the meaning...but it inspired you.....say those things to others

it is better to give than receive...we have all heard it. thnk back on any given time when you made something by hand and gave it to another, the smile on their face, ...when i say made by hand ..consider it could be ...shoveling a walk, holding a door, having a conversation with a stranger, or just a smile....

didn't the glow on their face make it a special moment...have peace of mind: be humble in your glory, and humble in defeat. the person you help today may help you tomorrow....and if they don't ..you know that you have the peace of mind....that you reached out first. just some thoughts.

It's true. We are all pervs. It's why we're here. But, what does this mean?

We all have our own reasons for coming to sarahsplayhouse and I'm not asking any of you to tell me what they are, but think about your reasons. All of those reasons probably have an underlying theme. I believe it is that we have a higher level of kink in us than our average bears that we interact with in the "real" world.

Every Sunday in the chat room, people suggest to other members, "change your status!" The most common reply to the less aware is, "but I'm not sexxxcited right now." Others also see this and assume that it must mean we are looking for some fun. Being "Sexxxcited" does not mean, "I am horny right now." The point of the movement is being flown by completely.

Sexxxcited is a state of mind. It is our way of saying that we are simply alive and pervy and Sunday is our day of worship (whoreship) in the chatroom. Sexxxcited Sunday is a day to just... be.

So, come in, change your status by clicking the little clock next to the A+ above the chat box, scroll down the many different moods, and find your peace. Enjoy your permanent state of mind, and parade around that chatroom with your feet stomping and trumpets blaring (and confetti launching) and embrace your pervdom with the rest of us! Music on Profile?

Would you like to add music to your profile here at SPH???

I've been asked by many members here at sph on how I got my music on my profile. I originally learned on how to do this from my wife AnneBonny and I am willing to share this with you ALL. So I decided to put together a step by step blog explaining instructions on how to have a music media player on your profile.

- There is many music media players to use but I only know of and use www.mixpod.com . Click link and sign up for FREE!

- Once new account is created, click "Create Playlist" tab at the top of screen with "My Mixpod", "My Playlists", "Profile", e.t.c..

- Add music to your playlist by searching name of song or artist on search results and clicking plus icon of selected song for playlist. You can also search by Album or they also have completed playlists already made and can be used.

- When done selecting songs for playlist... Click "2. Customize" tab beside "1. Add Music" near the top of screen. You have 3 options to customize and can click each one individually to edit. Skins, Colors & Styles and Settings (NOTE: Customizing Settings is important if you would like your music on Autoplay. In settings click "Yes" on Autoplay).

- Once all customize edits are done... Click "3. Save Playlist" tab beside "2. Customize". You MUST have a Playlist Title (*required)... Any other edits are optional. When finished that... Click "SAVE (get code)" button at the bottom of screen (the BIG green one).

- Now to get the Embed code to copy. DO NOT copy or use the Embed code for MySpace. Click "Other Sites" and get the Embed code there to copy (highlight embed code then CTRL-C or click copy button). Ok so now you have the right embed code copied.

- Get on Sarahsplayhouse site dashboard, Click "Edit Profile" from the "Profile" dropdown at the top of dash page.

- So you are now on the sph "Edit Profile" section. Paste the copied embed code into one of the boxes such as Books, Music, Movies, etc. (Right click in the Music box, and choose Paste, or just CTRL-V).

- Scroll to the bottom of the "Edit Profile" page and click "Update" and you are DONE!

thats it...if you run into any problems. Please feel free to msg me and ask me for help. The mixpod site pretty much explains itself but I have made a couple mistakes on it in the past.

TIP: it is wise to edit your playlists every once in awhile. Cause some songs get deleted from the site and may affect your playlists.

True Friends and True Colors.

I am finally starting to realize who my true firend are and those who show thier true colors. Yes I may have a lot of friends all of the world i can only count on maybe 7 fingers who my true friends are. There is a few here and a few not here. i know when I need to talk that person will be there and i wil be there for them when they need to talk. i just wanna say thanks tp Whisper, Pikz, Markymark, Lisa and a couple others that stick by my side. For that i love you all and you all will be in my heart and mind forever. I see peoples true colors now too. I am not a fake person what bit. This text is based on a true story

Authors note: I got inspired to write about something that happened to me close to Christmas one year that would forever change my life, this is my story…-said in a echo voice-

The tears fell down my cheeks as I walked through the gate on terminal M on Vancouver’s international airport. I had just said goodbye to the man that holds my heart. Knowing we’d be apart for at least 3 weeks, with the distance of half around the globe. None of us could do farewells so we had gotten there late maybe unconsciously aware just to not being able to drag it out to much. A few hugs and a passionate kiss, with the words”Come home soon my love” still vibrating on my skin, in my ears, on my lips in my heart. Pounding like a dagger in my guts, BE - ING - APART stab HURT-ING LIKE HELL stab stab GOING TO BLEED FOR-EVER LIKE A FING-ER CUT stab, my knees wanted to give up and fall to the hard polished floor. But I forced myself to stay perky. Last thing I wanted where to make the airport personell make notice of me.

I passed security and went on board on the plane so smooth that I had to smile, I was actually I bit impressed that I could hold it together so well.

I found my seat beside a Russian woman with curly hair; she looked a bit like a starving pig. In a nice way, I always thought pigs are cute. And they are verb hygienen actually. We talked a little but after a while we both gave up, there simply weren’t any working chemistry between us. When I told her I had been away from my parents and siblings for 6 months she laughed and said you talk in months, I speak of years; I haven’t met my children in 5 years. I wanted to treavel, they didn’t. Markus should be 10 now. I thought that was a little odd but smiled and answered that they are lovely that age.

9 Long hours later we landed smoothly in UK, due to the weather we had to wait before parking in 20 minutes. I thought to myself that I hoped this didn’t delay the other flights to much. And so many times afterwards I wondered if that thought may have been the reason to what was waiting for us all.

Inside Heathrow airport an army of security guards waited for the arrivals. We were told to go get our bags, and were told that the connection flights where cancelled. The questions where many, but there was no answers but one- The panic in the eyes of all the staff.

Next thing I knew I was directed to the left and right, band 7 and band 3, run fast towards the wall, jump, sit, stay, play dead! When I finally got a straight answer from anyone it found out to be incorrect. And when I finally got told where to go, the queue was cancelled; there was no way to rebook flights today! I had to go to the line where you booked hotels. The line that had no end. The line that looked like it consisted of zombies and not healthy happy travelers of the world.

I still hadn’t got my luggage and the first 5 hours I looked at the clock 4 times every 2 seconds. I could have sworn it went backwards, or at least had stopped.

The rest of the day is a blur, In a desperate attempt to get to the hotel after missed the completely full buss I grabbed hold of a little abandoned baby ok, the little baby was a crippled man, but thanks to him we did get a taxi after only an hour in the cold. A man with two toddlers and a pregnant wife, probably with triplings. Was kind enough to let us pass him in the line that seemed to never end (This much later, I think the start of the taxi-line was the end of the hotel line that I couldn’t find earlier. Or vice versa) I was one of the lucky ones. As the taxi (that ripped us off by the way) ever so fast drove off from the airport we could see the destruction grow smaller, and when it disappeared in the horizon we looked at eachother and knew that there where no return.-until the flights started going again,but that could be days-

The next 6 days I was stranded on a 4 star hotel in a little town that noon heard of. The first days there wasn’t any way to even leave the town, the days after that there was no way to get to the airport. The last day I went down to the dining room and ordered something I named”my last meal” Thus I felt the end was near. The last meal was a 3 dish corse. A medeterian salad as a starter, a steamed chicken with root, and vegetable gratain, and a triple chocolate ultimate mega super ice-cream pudding for dessert. Yes the times where hard.

On a more serious note though. What was going to be a stay for 1 hour tops while waiting for a plane to Denmark. Became 1 week in England. Before i got settled I had no way to contact anyone since i have no cell phone. Got hold of a payphone with my visa to call mom on, she in her hand called dad that already was in Copenhagen to pick me up. He stayed over there on a hotel with only a thick jacket and boots for me in case i wasn’t dressed warm enough when i arrived. He had no medicine nothing. Went up the day after to check first two morning flights (witch where the last ones before it got a completely stop.) My fiancée worrying sick on the other side of the world since he hasn’t heard of me more than a concerned mail from my hysterical mother. My grandmother and grandfather that already thinks that i shouldn’t be anywhere but within a arm lenghts distance got so worried that when i met them the other day on Christmas eve grandpa had lost some weight and they both had tears in eyes when they could see me in person. There is so much more people affected by this. But the only thing i can think of is, GOD IM GLAD I GOT HOME BEFORE CHRISTMAS. And Im thankful i got to a hotel before they all got full booked. Thankful to have people around me doing everything they can to help. And thankful the hotel had breakfast buffet.

Now I just wish I can get home to my darling soon again. And Im keeping myself busy hanging out with my brother and sister, going to have a girls day out with mom any day now and then dad and i will try making a body for the solder iron I’m melting down to a figure. As a memory sculpture to my grandmother’s brother that passed away while i was away. He made those things as a hobby and art for his whole life. Soon I will be home my love.

Oh and when i finally got the last seat in a airplane home they accidentally put me on FISRT CLASS. I am a changed woman and I can never go back to who i once where. Yes, it sure has been an adventure. Stab Stab Stab,

composting coffee grounds

Coffee grounds for the garden are an excellent source of nitrogen, Magnesium, Potassium and organics for water retention/aeration. The down side of coffee grounds is their very high acidity (as low as 5PH) and should be mixed with egg shells ( 94% calcium carbonate, and some magnesium and phosphorus, wood ash, which is high pH and very high in trace elements, or as simple as garden lime.
I save all my grounds and egg shells for my gardening for the great fertilizer and green recycling. Egg shells I put on a pie tin on heater.In day they dry easily and then in bucket to pulverize with old broom handle. Coffee ground are also put on radiator and dried for day or two in winter and then stored in bucket (other wise it molds).
Coffee grounds can be spread around acid loving plants, like blueberries, but monitor the pH closely.
Some breakfast places might be willing to save coffee grounds or egg shells for you for bulk volumes, but you will most likely need to pick up daily for health code reasons.
